Your Questions About Best Laser Hair Removal

Michael asks…
What is the best laser for hair removal?
What is the most effective laser for hair removal of dark hair (white skin) and why is it better than others? Has anyone any experience of having their hair removed with particular laser and what was the result like? Did you end up completely hair free and how many seesions did it take?
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
I went for almost about 20 sessions. It really does lessen the hair growth in the area (armpit) and makes the re-grown hair much thinner.
I’ve stopped for a year now and started shaving (1st time i did that the re-grown hair was still quite fine) and after about 4 shaves, the hair is now just like before.
So my advice would be to CONTINUE with that treatment unitl u r absolutely safe.

Linda asks…
Best Laser hair Removal Product On The Market?
Yes I mean product you can buy them. I saw a few by Rio, but the reviews were very mixed alot of people said they didnt work some said it worked great
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
The lasers themselves? I’ve most liked working with Candella’s Nd:Yag laser and I think it works very well.
Products available to consumers? None. I don’t think that the power involved in a small home device in any way equal to the power involved in a commercial laser.

Daniel asks…
Who does the best laser hair removal in Arlington, VA?
Looking for best job & least painful. Any recommendations?
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
I checked out both Alase and Smooth Exposure and went with Smooth Exposure. I used the one that is in Sport & Health in McLean. They were half the price of Alase, and Smooth Exposure lists the prices on their website.
Alase seemed like a hassle. I called the one in Tysons and they did an interview over the phone about what I wanted to have done. They then asked me to come in so they could see the area, and so I could take a look at the location/machines they use. I only did the phone interview, and then discovered Smooth Exposure. When I talked to the Alase person, though, she said I’d have to come an hour ahead of my appts, so they could put numbing stuff on my skin. Then I’d have to sit for an hour while the area became numb (she excitedly told me they had lots of magazines to read while I waited).
At Smooth Exposure, I ended up purchasing a small tube of numbing gel ($15), which I put on myself an hour before the appt. It was much easier and I did it at home.
I found the laser process slightly painful (very quick, though) and am glad I used the gel. But most people are not as sensitive as me, I think. Also, you turn a little red for about 1 hour after the laser is done, but at Smooth Exposure they put a cosmetic product on your face that hides the redness. Pretty cool, I thought!
Overall, I think all lasers are generally the same. I picked based on price, but some people might want a more spa atmosphere. It’s worth checking to see what’s in Arlington. I think the prices at Alase are ridiculous, even when they have “sales”, so I would not go with them. Their locations all seem pretty high-rent, and I think their prices reflect that.

George asks…
Epilight Hair removal the best solution or laser?
Which is more effective? Epilight or Laser hair removal? If someone who has had it lets me know, that would be better
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
Epilight is a bit older technology that is more “operator” dependent than most lasers. Both can give you very good results if you are a good candidate, the equipment is up to date and the “operator” is qualified. Traditionally, laser is a bit safer.
Provider information and technology options are highlighted in the attached sites.

Laura asks…
Which numbing cream is best for laser hair removal?
I’m really sensitive to pain and I find that a lot of numbing creams don’t work for me during laser hair removal. Any suggestions?
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
Numbing creams need to be applied 30 to 60 minutes in advance of your appointment. Absorption rates are highly affected by temperature, so the best instructions involve applying the cream to your skin, and then wrapping it in saran wrap, followed by warm clothing (such as a sock or sweater).
However, you need to be very careful with numbing creams. There have been several cases where people who have applied these creams to large areas of their body have become severely ill or died. Another thing you check is if the cream is transparent to the wavelength of light used by lasers. Dr. Numb can be used with lasers. I do not know if the “male desensitizer” cream can be. EMLA, a very strong prescription-only numbing cream, has been successfully for laser hair removal in sensitive individuals.
A alternative technique that is safe and inexpensive is to simply use ice packs. Bring them with you to your session and apply them to the area right before you are lasered. Ice packs work in two ways. First, the cool temperature directly numbs your skin. Second, the lowered temperature of your skin makes it less sensitive to the heat generated by the laser, which is one aspect of what causes pain.
Lastly, some people experimented with having local anesthetics administered right before treatment. This will eliminate all pain, however, it is expensive and requires a willing doctor and careful timing. It also results in the risk that you will be over-treated. This is because laser technicians often rely on feedback from you to gauge the strength setting of their equipment. If your technician is not familiar with your treatment plan, you run the risk of getting treated at too high a setting and not being able to indicate so because you are unaware of the damage being done to your skin.

Paul asks…
Best Laser Hair Removal Center in San Diego?
Hey guys I was wondering I really would like to get laser hair removal. I live in San Diego and I was wondering if anyone in the area has had it done. Where did you have it done? And are you happy with the results? What was the cost? Any information would be helpful… Thanks. Please Respond!!!
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
You can call 888.517.4187 or go to http://www.HairRemovalForum.com ….the site has a number of San Diego area providers who have received positive surveys from previous customers. The cost will be dependent on the size and area that you are looking to treat and can vary between $50 – $500 per Tx and you would need 4-7 Tx to remove 95-100% of the hair.
The second site has survey scores for the providers in San Diego.
Good Luck.

she just had a tan, will it be safe for her to have it this week? thanks.

Your Questions About Best Laser Hair Removal At Home

William asks…
At home wax for facial hair. What do you recommend?
I have PCOS, so I struggle with facial hair, and believe me, its horrible.
I can’t afford the laser hair removal or electrolysis, and creams really hurt my skin so I want to try a wax product that I can do at home.
What do you think is the best, and why?
For the amount I have, its more like $50 hun.
I will give the best answer to anyone who can give me links to these schools in massachusetts.
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
Ugh the evil facial hair. Yeah, I want LHR too, but its way to costly and I’d need multiple treatments.
I use sally hansen, I do have to let it grow out 2 weeks though. (It really depends on your own growth time.) They also have one by nair now (WAX, not cream) I heard it works well.
I have never had a problem with Sally hansen’s.

Paul asks…
what is the best permanent hair removal system for home use?
I have PCOS and I have a lot of dark hairs growing in places that girls shouldnt have. I have to shave my face arms and chest almost daily. i was looking at the nono and tria laser but they don’t have the best reviews is there anything i can do to at least minimize the amount of hair i have growing I don’t have a lot of money and just can not afford professional laser treatments or electrolysis.
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
Just a note on these at-home devices, their technology is not nearly as strong as the clinics so they take a lot of time and dedication. Many people try these at-home systems a couple time and give up because they don’t see instant results and claim that they don’t work. Like regular laser hair removal treatments, several treatments are required in order for it to work because hair is always growing in different cycles so you can imagine how much you’d have to do it with the at-home ones. Many of them do work, they just need to be used a LOT over the course of several months in order to see results. Just make sure to fully read the instructions so you know how much and how often you need to do it for it to work.

Ruth asks…
What are the best types of at home facial (lip, chin) waxing strips?
I have some hair one my chin and have tired veet at home creams and find they burn my face. was wondering if any WOMEN had any tips on not just the best at home waxing strip facial kits but which ones were the best. I know I could go to a salon but I find it embrassing and would rather do this at home. Also I have tired threading and it was something I would not try again. so Please any tips and advise would be great. PS: ive already looked into both laser hair removal and electrolisys this is not something i want to do right now. I am strictly looking into waxing!
also should add that I am a first time at home waxer…any tips on how i could numb my lip and chin…someone reccommended orajel
any idea on veet at home waxing?
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
Pre-waxed strips from Sally Hensen are great, they work great on fine or short hair.
Personally, I like making my own wax with sugar and using 100% cotton strips. It saves money that way.
If you’re not good at doing it yourself, go to a salon to get it done.

Lisa asks…
What’s the best facial hair removal?
i know its embarassing but i have facial hair and i dont want it any more. I’m looking for a facial hair remover that last a long time. I don’t want laser hair removal its way to expensive. Some sites of this product would be helpful.
P.S. i wont somthing i can do at home
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
There is a method called stringing. It is very effective. It is where you get a thin string and it gets rubbed over a place where your removing hair. It lasts for like 6 months.
But I wax

Sandy asks…
Best way to remove body hair?
I was wondering what your best ways of removing body hair is? I will not get a wax or laser hair removal. I’m looking for something that I can do at home. Will shaving be ok if I use an anti-itch cream after it? I want to mainly remove hair from my pubic and anal area. But also my chest. Please only helpful areas. Thank you.
Also, will cream like Hydrocortosone (don’t know if the spelling is correct) help to relieve itching and irritation like when I sit down?
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
You can use veet or nair
and sally hansen has a bunch of hair removal creams that you can use- don’t use a razor since it is bad to use it since it will make your hair darker and grow back thicker
but waxing is the best way to go even though you don’t want to

What is the best LASER HAIR REMOVAL method?
(Which device) Should I have a dermatologist do it?
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
No matter which method you choose, always have a certified dermatologist, especially for laser. Depends on your condition, you should consult with the dermatologist about the device before you start.
This is a website that does a series of comparison between different methods:

Is there a product out there that really works? I’ve used several and nothing seems to work. I need something for the upper lip and eyebrows. Or should I go with laser hair removal?
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
I really like sally hansons hair remover wax strip kit, they are very easy to use, not messy, and easy to cut up for smaller area’s such as upper lip. They are also clear, so you can apply it more accurately on the place you want to remove the hair.
You can buy it from your local drug store or grocery store for $5-8

John asks…
I am looking for, scanning laser hair removal at Home! Do you have any Idea About it? which brand Is the Best?
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods. Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged. A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://3rc.info/

David asks…
laser hair removal at home?
Has anyone ever tried this? Or electrolysis hair removal at home.
I’m very curious as to how well it works.
Any info would be much appreciated. Best answer gets 10 points!!!
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
Honestly, it wont be enough. It isn’t strong enough. Its only meant for those who have endured a laser treatment as you do get random hairs sometimes. Go to an actual laser treatment center. You will need 4-6 treatments to make the hair removal permanent. But like I said. There may be random hairs that will pop up and thats where these at home devices come into play.
Anyways, heres a good device with reviews:
http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P241733&categoryId=B60
But once again, I dont think you should use it for actual hair removal. Just for touchups.

Lizzie asks…
Best Laser Hair removal clinic in Canberra?
I live in Canberra and im thinking of going to get Laser Hair Removal done, but where is the best place to go?
Has anyone tried somewhere good that they recommend?
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
Hair removal can be of two methods one is epilation and depilation First one removes hair entirely and the second one removes the hair thats above the surface of the skin. If you want to remove hair permanently or for a long time, you have to choose the first option. Epilation methods are
Plucking
Waxing ( Sugaring )
Threading
Epilators
Medications
Turmeric
Electrolysis
Laser
Intense pulsed light
Vaniqa
Personally i recommend to first try the natural way and only if it doesn’t help go for laser. Its not because laser is bad its because a risk is always hidden if you haven’t researched about the firm you are thinking of going, as unprofessional peoples makes laser treatment a disaster. Don’t panic by research i meant to check there approval for laser treatment and the machine they use for laser treatment is approved by any authorization and things like that. Don’t hesitate as its about your body a wrong move can make things worse. Theres many ways to remove hair so if you have finished trying that all and has not yet succeeded go for laser. More information can be found on how to remove hair from the above methods on beauticianworld.com

Joseph asks…
What is the best laser hair removal place in Phoenix area?
I am looking for a great place to do a brazilian laser hair removal. Anyone know of a place they could recommend?
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
Go to YELP or Craigslist and read reviews or post on their message boards there from your city, or search name of salon under Better Business Bureau.
There is NOTHING PERMANENT, not even laser. Once you stopped? They will grow back like before, it’s permanent FOR YOU, because you have to keep at it. . . . For EVER & EVER.
Examples:
1. NO NO HAIR REMOVER
Before you invest on something you’re NOT sure of, read No No Hair removal warnings. About 244,000,000 results in (0.10 seconds)
DON’T ever believe infomercials. They’re done by actors who are getting paid to advertise.
2. Laser hair removal isn’t cheap (about $200-$500 a session depending on where you live and the areas being treated. Again, it takes about 6 sessions to get rid of 70% of hair permanently. Touch-ups are always an option at about $100-$150 a session. With treatments averaging $65 per five minutes and a series of sessions required, permanent hair removal businesses are being set up in shopping centres and beauty clinics.
Glamour magazine ex-editor ended up scarred for life. For this very reason, you want to skip the discount places and get treated by a trained technician at an established medical facility. These places do NOT offer discounts.
Example of one who had them done.
My laser hair removal treatment takes 8 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart to see 60 percent reduction in hair growth. For best results, I got maintenance treatments done once a year for 4 years . Now I don’t want to do this anymore! What is the best way to remove them from now on ?
TRIA Kim Kardashian lawsuit About 3,3500,000 results.
THE laser hair removal industry should be subject to national regulations to protect people from being burned in their quest to remove unwanted body hair, consumer magazine Choice says. An investigation of six salons and clinics in Sydney found four had staff who were not trained in operating hair removal machines, while two had received training from the equipment manufacturer. ~ AAP, October 20, 2011
Laser or waxing, once you stopped, THEY WILL COME BACK as before. It’s totally a waste of $$$$. It is a billion dollar business, btw. NONE is permanent.
3. CREAMS there are side effect and people violate those warnings: Skin damage, odor, more hair growth, uneven skin & hair growth, allergic reaction. Keratin is the main protein that forms a hair strand. The result is the hair is wiped away with gentle friction. There are several chemicals based on the strength, color and coarseness of the hair. Before applying the cream, the skin type is also considered. Example from a VEET user: .”I used Veet to wax off my moustache which wasn’t anything tragic,(STUPID ME) around 12 hours ago…..And for the first time I’ve got this reaaally bad skin irrtation, I’m as red as a pepper for Gd’s sake!” Keratin are not approved by the FDA.
4. Razors using SKINTIMATE: This is my favorite, takes seconds and you’re done! I’ve chosen the pink handle 12 in a package. Pamela Anderson’s favorite, also. For females, NEVER use shaving for your facials.

Your Questions About Does Laser Hair Removal Work

Chris asks…
how does laser hair removal work?
anyone know? also, is it safe?
im not considering, just curious.
:-O ouch!!!
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
A laser is fired at the hairs to be removed. It’s not a very powerful laser, but it does feel like you are being flicked by elastic bands, and the area does get quite hot and sore. It isn’t always permanent and takes several goes to clear an area. As for safety, that depends on the type of laser and whether the operator is any good or not.

Ruth asks…
Does laser hair removal work well?
I am thinking about getting it.
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
I had it done on my neck and my wife had it for her bikini line and undearms. We both had done 6 years ago and had great results.
Make sure you go to someone with a lot of experience who is using new equipment. People who get poor results generally get the poor results because the practioner is inexperienced or because the equipment is not effective.
The site http://www.HairRemovalForum.com lists providers who have received positive surveys from previous clients. If bad surveys are received, the provider is removed from the site.

Mary asks…
Does permanent laser hair removal actually work? Anyone had it?
If it does work; is there any way I can buy the laser machine and do it myself at home?
I’ve asked this question before to someone, and they said the laser is expensive and costs like 3,000$.
Well, I for one would definitely pay 3 thousand dollars if I never had to shave or wax any part of my body EVER AGAIN. It would totally be worth it.
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
Here in India i got it for 30000. It is composed of 10 sittings . They shave hair from that part
then apply gel as a lubricant… Sun googles are used as thy prevent those harmful rays entering into our eye.. During this process… We get burning sensation.. As these rays destroy the root of the hair… It can definitely reduce the intensity of the hair.it’s worthy . Go through it…
Sorry …..i have no idea about purchasing it …..

Paul asks…
Does laser hair removal work?
i hear that your hair never grows back! Is that true? Thats probably why its expensive
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
Most people are very happy with their laser hair removal, but it doesn’t last forever. Some hair will grow back over time. That’s why it’s classified as “permanent hair reduction” (electrolysis, in contrast, is classified as “permanent hair removal” but it has a lot of downsides).
The effectiveness of laser hair removal also depends on your hair/skin color. Dark hair and fair skin tends to get the best results. Other combinations don’t work as well.

Daniel asks…
does laser hair removal work?
is it effective? or does it have any bad side effects?
has anyone ever tried it or know someone who has?
and what parts of the body does is work on?
any information would be good
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
I know someone who tried it.
It works well, (no side effects for her) though it needs constant re-application, it’s not permanent.
It’s not uncommon though for some scam companies to offer ‘lifetime treatment’ at low rates and then fold after a year or so and re-open under a different company name..

Your Questions About Does Laser Hair Removal Work

Daniel asks…
Does laser hair removal work?
ok so i’m going to be 15 in 1 month so i told my dad that i want to have the laser hair removal, but ive heard that it only works if you are over 18, i want to know if this is true, i have really dark hair and my skin tone is light medium so would it work better or worse?
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
He probably just doesn’t want you to do it yet but there’s no reason it won’t work.
Keep in mind it can be painful, but since you have dark hair, it’ll likely be quite effective for you. For some reason, it doesn’t work as well on blondes or redheads.

Does it last forever? Should i let the hair grow long first or shave it? If it doesn’t last forever then how long does it last. Like what happens does the hair fall out immediately or does it takes hours days weeks what?

Okay… Science answer:
You grow in at least 80% of your hair during puberty. When you have laser hair removal the hairs it kills will never grow again. But you still have up to 20% of your normal thickness that will grow in throughout the rest of your life. So people get touch up sessions every 3-5 years after their big 6 treatments. You need about 6 treatments, one each 2 months for a year, because the hair grows in different stages and it can only kill hair in the active growth stage.

Personal Experience:
I’ve had 2 out of my 6 treatments so far. It HURTS! I’ve had my legs, underarms, and bikini area done. When you get your bikini area done they do ALL of it! Including spreading your butt and vaginal lips spart to laser all the cracks… It’s sorta awkward. After the 2 treatments I’ve had so far I’ve lost about 60% of leg hair, 40% bikini hair, and 25% underarms hair. It’s because the underarms hair is the thinnest and the leg hair is the coarsest. But the legs are the most painful. The more it hurts the better it works.
I spent this much for 6 treatments in each area:
Bikini-$750
Underarms-$750
Legs (toes to bikini)-$2,500
Email me if you have any more questions about it!

Carol asks…
How does laser hair removal work?
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
A laser passes through light color (skin) and heats up dark color (hair follicle) to permanently destroy follicle so hair can’t grow again

Mark asks…
How does laser hair removal work?
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
The practitioner uses a hand held device that emits a laser that penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the hair. Once absorbed heat energy is produces in the hair which travels down the shaft and destroys the root.

Sandy asks…
Does laser hair removal really work?
I’m interested in getting it done, but I don’t want to waste my money if it’s not worth it.
Is laser hair removal permanent?
&
If not, does your hair grow back thicker?
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
It definitely works, but it is never permanent. No current method of hair removal can permanently destroy a hair follicle completely. Lasers do, however, stunt growth so that hairs grow in MUCH finer and sparser than before, almost to the point where it feels like there is no hair. To get these kinds of results, however, you need a good amount of sessions–i’d say about 5-7 is standard. Still, it depends on your hair and your skintone.. I had 5 sessions done a couple years ago, and i probably could have used another 2 or 3, as the results are not as great as i expected (i have black hair and naturally tan skin).
If the area you want to get done has hair that particularly bothers you and causes you to constantly maintain it (underarms, upper lip, arms, etc.), then laser hair removal is totally worth it, especially for those small areas where it wouldn’t cost much at all. For somewhere large where the hair might be coarser or the skin might be darker, like legs, just be prepared to pay enough to get it right the first time. You can’t “add sessions” later because hair grows in certain cycles that are crucial to the intervals between sessions.

Robert asks…
Does laser hair removal work?
I hate shaving my legs almost as much as I hate waxing them. I have almost white skin with almost black hair that is very thick. Would laser hair removal work?
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
Laser hair removal success varies per individual – that being said however, the best results are seen with the lightest skin and the darkest hairs. From what you said, it sounds like it could work very well for you

Daniel asks…
Does laser hair removal work?
im tired of shaving my legs every other day and considering laser hair removal, but dont want to waiste my time and money if it doesnt work.
and what about eyebrows too?
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
Ive had laser hair removal done to my facial area. Laser removal is good for many reasons. It lightens hair over a period of six treatments or more, and makes the hair finer in texture. It also is only attracted to dark pigmented hair. So, if your a Blondie or have lots of fine lighter hair, this procedure may not be for you. Over all, Ive been pretty satisfied. Keep in mind that not all the hair is permanently gone. About 80% is gone, and there’s no guarantee that it wont come back when i go thru menopause or other hormonal changes. That has allot to do with hair growth of any kind. Unless you have a smaller targeted area that you cant live with, in my case a dark mustache, save your money and invest in a good razor. Laser hair removal is very costly!

How does laser hair removal work?
How much is it? Where can you go? How old should you be? I’m thinking of getting it done on my arms. Does it hurt? How long does it last? Helpp !
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
Laser Hair Removal can cost anywhere from 2000-7000$, depending on where you get it done. You’ll need about 5 treatments, and the pain is compared to a rubber band snap. Results are not garunteed, it’s expensive, and somewhat painful…but beauty hurts, doesn’t it?

Susan asks…
Does laser hair removal work?
Im thinking of having laser hair removal, does it really work? Has anyone had it done & be willing to share their experience with me? Im really considering going through with it but is it really worth it? I’d be very grateful if someone could please help me
bestlaserhairremovalcost answers:
Well, I’ve yet to done that as well. But I heard it works. So far I’ve no friends undergoing Laser hair removal method, so I really don’t about its effect. However, for IPLT (In Pulse Light Treatment) method, it works the most & it’s proven to be useful! I’m not too sure if IPLT is available in your country or region, but there are several clinics operating for this service. You may wish to find out more regarding IPLT online. Anyway, this method is very expensive but it’s good. And normally after 8 – 10 treatments, only then you’ll be able to see some or visible results based on individual body.
